Agent/Associate Bio Information:
Belinda grew up in Detroit, MI where she enjoyed the sights and
sounds of the city while surrounded by the love of a large family.
Although far from the “Motor City,” the spirit of Motown still lives
in her through her love of “old school music.”
After high school, Belinda began navigating her way through the
college scene starting at Eastern Michigan University. After several
years, she ultimately traded her “dorm room” for “army barracks,”
when she enlisted in the US Army in 1983.
Belinda served as a logistical support specialist with the 6th Cavalry
Brigade located at Ft. Hood, TX. Her training and leadership skills
allowed her to attain the rank of SGT in just 2 years. It was here
that she met her fellow soldier and future husband, Courtney. After
serving 5yrs in the military, Belinda hung up her “battle boots” for
“baby booties” in order to raise a family…which to her is “my greatest
accomplishment and deepest joy in life.”
While stationed In Germany, Belinda began her civil service career
with the DOD school system as a Supply Technician at Wurzburg
Elementary School. After 4 years abroad, Belinda and her family
settled in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, until her husband’s retirement
In Missouri, Belinda continued her civil service career while attending
school full time. In 1999 she achieved one of the proudest moments
in her life, when she graduated with honors from Columbia College
with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
In 2000, Belinda and her family decided to give up “a yard full of
rocks” for the”southern sandy soil” of South Carolina. They lived
in Aiken for 10 years where Belinda worked diligently as an
administrator for a local ministry. For over 7 years she was
considered a “favorite sub” by teachers and students while working
as a substitute teacher in the Aiken School district. In December
2010, Belinda and her family made the move to Columbia in order
to be closer to the military community and family.

2 daughters, Davida (Ashton Sr.) & Olivia, 2 “grand- boys”,
